Dr. Rykard employs the next step in X-ray technology – digital X-rays. An image is taken of your mouth using a sensor and downloaded straight into our computer. He can immediately begin assessing the level of your dental health. Our panoramic dental X-ray unit can capture your entire jaw and mouth structure in one image. The original data can be readily stored and later overlaid with more recent information to highlight treatment progress and overall changes to your dental health. Not only does this technique permit us more options than conventional X-rays, but it does it all while subjecting you to 75% less radiation than traditional captures.
